About Dr. Powell
Dr. Powell is a Family Medicine physician with a special interest in women’s health, lactation and contraceptive care, and Weight management. A native of North Carolina, she completed her undergraduate degrees at Fayetteville State University and her masters degree at UNC-Greensboro. She then attended medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Afterward, Dr. Powell went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
Dr. Powell develops a successful health plan by partnering with her patients and understanding their unique needs. In addition to women's health issues, she also assists patients with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Ultimately, she hopes to empower her patients to become their own agent of change, resulting in positive health outcomes.
